H₂S Prevention
We believe that by using the right YaraNutriox tools you will save between 10 and 40 % in costs compared to constant dosing. There are further savings available to you by remotely monitoring with Yara Telemetry rather than having staff spending time visiting the injection sites.
Whichever dosing controller you choose, it can be connected to a remote monitoring system using Yara Telemetry. Yara equips its controllers with a modem that allows on-line monitoring and optimisation of dosage by the client and/or Yara, via the Yara Telemetry website. You decide whether you want to activate these modems and subscribe to the Yara Telemetry service. We have a website dedicated to this monitoring.
Gas sensors record the H2S levels at agreed discharge points, within the sewer network being dosed, and send data to the Yara Telemetry server. Yara Telemetry coordinates all the information related to the treatment program for the site concerned to verify its effectiveness, and makes changes to the dose controller settings if the results are not as expected. i.e. in the case of too much H2S, dose can be increased. This capability has been developed by Yara and is in use across Europe.
Thanks to the “Long Nose”, you can optimise the amount of treatment products you will inject to fight against hydrogen sulphide. Yara’s “Long Nose” H2S detector allows you to measure the release of hydrogen sulphide at any point in the sewer system where it can be installed.
The Long Nose is a stand-alone device to measure H2S. It is a hydrogen sulphide detector with an integrated radio transmitter. It works with GPRS, which allows H2S measurement data to be sent back to the dedicated server of our remote web-based management tool, Yara Telemetry.
